On Monday morning, an attack was carried out on the Bannu Cantonment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as ten terrorists attempted to breach the facility. In the ensuing exchange of fire, eight soldiers were martyred while defending the installation.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attackers targeted the armed forces’ installation but were met with fierce resistance. Despite their efforts, the terrorists were unable to penetrate the cantonment's defenses.
A Final Desperate Act
As their assault was thwarted, the terrorists resorted to a final desperate measure by detonating an explosives-laden vehicle.
